Pahang & Terengganu Trip

Just a week ago, i was on a trip to Pahang and Terengganu together with Bro Hisham, Bro Ismail and Bro Raimie. We drove all the way up to Pahang in Bro Ismail's "Wish" MPV Car. The trip was..... hmmm... well.... fun! and kecoh! only for the first 2 hours and later someone! someone! will start snoring and the rest will follow, leaving the driver all alone driving through the darkness along the highway. Who's the driver?! Bro Ismail and me. However, Bro Ismail drove the car most of the time lah kan, as for me, i'm not used to long hours of driving, at most i can only drive for 2 hours. As for who is the first to snore, me, i admit ok, its me! Its kind of a sickness that i had due to my sensitive nose.

We reached Pahang around 5.30am and had our Subuh prayer in Pahang's Masjid Negara. Then something interesting happened in the mosque. Just after our Subuh prayers, i was rushing to the toilet, tak bleh tahan beb, mcm nak meletup! As i was walking briskly towards the gents, i heard a loud scream and shouting coming from the female toilet, and it went on for a few seconds, in my heart i was telling myself "Perhaps some girls playing in the toilet, dont bother." so i ignore and proceed with my toilet business. For those thinking that this might be another pontianak story, well dont worry ok its not. hehehehe.

After finishing the business i had in the toilet, i make my way towards the entrance of the mosque towards the carpark. To my surprise, theres a crowd gathered at the mosque entrance, hmmm, is this a demonstration after that day's country election, surely not, subuh beb, nak mampos lebih baik gua tido! hehehe.

Who can guess...... Bro Ismail captured a thief! trying to steal handbags from the female toilet in a mosque! Goodness!!! Get a life! OIC! So the shouting, screaming is because of this thief trying to snatch handbags from the female toilet!! ahh ok. And so, the day in Pahang started with an adventure, and yeah someone had to brag all day, saying he's a hero and all. The thief is lucky that he didn't bump into me, or else i would just sit on him and thats it. No problem at all. hhehehehe.

The trip is for 4D 3N, Saturday driving up to Pahang, Sunday in Pahang, Monday in Terengganu and drove back to Singapore on Tuesday. Its tiring, sure does, but i guess, its what we get out of the trip matters. For this trip, we get to strenghten our bond and learn more about one another.
If i were to tell all of you what we did and all, i guess its gonna take a few more pages, let me allow the pictures do the talking alright. Overall, its a fun journey, lots of things to see, taste (MAKAN!), shopping. Alhamdulillah! So, when's our next trip? Thailand?

Two Friends and a Window

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and colour of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every colour and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man couldn't hear the band - he could see it. In his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days and weeks passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed.

It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."

"After reading this story, had you ever asked yourself, would you have done the same thing the blind man had done or you would simply just ignore the man beside you? Living in this world with friends from all race and religion requires true understanding of what friendship is all about. By making people around us happy will also mke us tremendously happy. Avoid being selfish, for you'll never know there'll might be one day when you will need someone's help. Never ever feel bored helping others for in return you'll never know what you'll get. Just be good to everyone ok."
:)
"There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations.
Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.
If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy.
Today is a gift, that's why it is called the present."
