Nail In The Fence

Make sure you read all the way down to the last sentence.

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally
able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.

The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out.

It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there.

"A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one”.

“Friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed.

They lend their ears, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us."

Our Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) mentions the
tongue before the hand. As everybody knows, the 'wounds' caused by the tongue are deeper and more hurtful than those caused by the hand. Besides, one is often prepared to strike more readily, easily and more frequently with one's tongue than with the hand. Slandering, backbiting, reproaching and other similar ways of hurting people are commoner and more difficult to avoid than hurt done by the hand. Further, if a person can refrain from hurting with the tongue, he can more easily refrain from the assaults by the hand. Again, defending oneself against physical assaults is, in most cases, easier than against verbal assaults of, in particular, backbiting and slandering. So, a true Muslim always restrains his tongue as well as his hand from hurting others.

Please forgive me if I have ever left a hole.

Parable of the Pencil

Salaam dear friends. To those who happened to stumble upon my humble blogpage, welcome! Two years ago, my mentor, told me about a story of a pencil, and he relates the story to human life and its existence. After which, i share this story with someone and it opens up our mind towards understanding further of our existance in this world and life itself. And so, i would also like to share this with all of you, my very very dear friends. Well the title of the story is "The Parable of the Pencil", i do hope you would spent some time and really understand deeply the true meanings behind all the things that you gonna learn from this story. Allah had created so many things in this world and it's for those who think. One fine example is the pencil....... Take your time to read this alright.......

The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box. There are 5 things you need to know, he told the pencil, before I send you out into the world.

Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be.

ONE: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in Someone's hand.

TWO: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you'll need it to become a better pencil.

THREE: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.

FOUR: The most important part of you will always be what's inside.

FIVE: On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark.

No matter what the condition, you must continue to write. The pencil understood and promised to remember, and went into the box with purpose in its heart.

Now replacing the place of the pencil with you; always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best person you can be.

ONE: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you place your Trust in Allah.

All of us live in this world for a short period of time and everything such as our date of birth, death, companion, job, wealth, everything had already been written by Allah s.w.t. Therefore living in this world you must always strive for the best and always remember Allah and to only Him you place your trust. Help from Allah may come in different ways, can be from what you see, what you feel, think, through experiences, through people around us, the environment……… only if we give some time to ponder and think. Believe………….

TWO: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, by going through various problems, but you'll need it to become a stronger person.

As I’ve mentioned, everything that had happened during our past, may it be good or bad, it’s meant to be, or even a guide from Allah, to make us into a better and stronger person in near future. Those bad things that had happened during the past, we must take it as something that may help us in future, its experiences are to be forgotten but not the lessons you've learnt from it. Please bear that in mind........

THREE: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.

Absolutely! Everyone do mistakes before..... Not just you....... And Allah knows all this, for He is the most Forgiving and Merciful. It’s better if someone who did a mistake and later realise it after which he/she correct it and repent. Rather then someone who never realise what are the mistakes he/she had done and never had the chance to do anything about it. You do have time don't you... Then do something about it. Take action...... be strong. Make sure it doesn't happen again. Take control of your own life.

FOUR: The most important part of you will always be what's on the inside.

You know this best, "Semua perkara yang dilakukan biarlah berdasarkan kepada niat kita." Niat kita itu penting. Believe in yourself and others will too.

FIVE: On every surface you walk through, you must leave your mark.

We want people to remember us for the good things, not the bad things. Be thankful of all the ni'mat given to us by Allah. Life's too short for someone to brood over small little things that had happened....... go on...... live life to the fullest...... If there’s any disagreements, arguments, quarrels among us…… resolve it fast……

"For all of us never know when Allah decides to call us home………
"

No matter what the situation, you must continue to do your duties. By understanding and remembering, let us proceed with our life on this earth having a meaningful purpose in our heart.

With love and patience, everything is possible.
"Wassalam, Leave you all in Allah's Love and Care Always"

In Loving Memory

I’m here today, not to tell you of my adventure trips, camps or outings, but with heart full of sadness and sorrow, my eyes full of tears, memories of him in my mind, how I wish he was still here. There’s a hole deep inside me, and I wonder why its there. It could be because he left us, it could be because he's not there. I’ll miss those smiles and laughter whenever we are together. No one can replace that, I’m sure.

However the time has come for you to meet our Creator. You’ll be in our hearts forever, till we meet again in hereafter.

AL-FATEHA

Allahyarham Muhd Zaid B Abdul Razak
(1989 - 2008)

Dated 07/01/2008, 10.20pm, our brother, Muhd Zaid Bin Abdul Razak was pronounced dead in TTSH after he met with a road accident. He was just 18 years old. He was on his way delivering the last pizza order for the day, when he collided with a car along Yio Chu Kang Road. The news took me by surprise when Hafiz called me saying “Abg Wan, Zaid dah meminggal!” I was speechless at first trying to think that all this was nothing but a lie, but I cant….. for all this is true, my dear brother had passed away. I drove all the way down to TTSH with Ramdan, Anwar and Zul in my car, and made our way to the mortuary where the body is. There were lots of people gathered outside the mortuary, his family and friends were all there anxious to know how the accident happened and that they can’t believe his death to be so sudden. I entered the room, his body was there lying on the bed while his mum was beside him in tears. I was there standing, looking at him, deep inside me I was controlling, not to cry. I went over, to touch his forehead and hair, he was cold, I bend over, kiss him on his forehead, said some prayers and walk off from the room. As I leave the room, I cant help it but to cry…..
He was buried at Pusara Abadi Muslim Cemetry yesterday afternoon.

He was a very active youth activist in the mosque, can always depend on him whenever we need a helping hand to help out during projects. He was a bilal during Ramadhan, helped out in various community projects and mosque projects. Always smiling… a leader among his friends…. A good brother…. A good friend….. At times, we will go riding on the road together, fishing together, stay overnight in the mosque every week and went camping together… I will rememer how he will put his head on my lap to sleep……

No matter how far away you are, you’ll always be in our hearts…..

May Allah shower his love and blessings upon your soul. Rest in peace bro.
